Notebook Is Not a Search Tool. It Is a Device for Remembering Operating Standards.
What I Confirmed Today
While setting up Notebook for the first time, I confirmed an important point.
Notebook is not a real-time web search tool. It answers and supports judgment based on the sources the user provides.
So the quality of Notebook depends less on the AI itself and more on which sources are added and how they are structured.
The Right Role for Notebook
In chulbuji.com operations, Notebook is less a tool that writes on my behalf and more a device that remembers operating standards and reviews consistency.
This test confirmed that Notebook is suitable for the following roles.
- Distinguishing Log / Insight / Project / Board
- Preventing confusion between AI Content Assistant and InsightReport
- Organizing the roles of Meta Chulbuji, Claude Code, and Codex
- Creating vibe coding instructions for Claude Code
- Creating review checklists for Codex
- Checking whether a new article or project plan fits the existing standards
How It Can Be Misused
Adding many public webpage URLs is not efficient.
When a site URL is added as a source, Notebook does not keep searching the latest live site. It reasons from the information captured at the time the source was added.
So public chulbuji.com pages should not be treated as permanent sources. They are better used as temporary snapshots when checking wording or structure at a specific point in time.
The base sources should be operating standard documents, not public URLs.
Newly Clarified Operating Standard
This test also refined part of Codex’s role.
Previously, Codex was defined only as a read-only review tool. But an exception is needed when Claude Code hits token limits.
From here, Codex should basically handle read-only review. However, when Claude Code is difficult to use, Codex can be used in a limited way for content reflection work that does not change structure.
That does not mean Codex should create new articles on its own or arbitrarily change site structure, routing, components, or design. Its role is limited to reflecting drafts written by Meta Chulbuji or the user into the existing file format.
Next Direction
Notebook will be used as the operating memory device for chulbuji.com.
Before writing a new Log, Insight, or Project article, I will use Notebook to check whether the draft conflicts with existing standards.
Repeated work can also be turned into SOP drafts through Notebook, and then into instructions and checklists for Claude Code and Codex.
Today’s conclusion is clear.
For Notebook, adding the right judgment standards matters more than adding a lot of material.
